Publishers' Copyright & Self Archiving Policies
Many publishers allow their authors to self archive the published work in institutional repositories like Sycamore Scholars. For example, Cambridge University Press's general policies are:
Pre-Print (pre-refereeing) - The author may deposit their pre-print manuscript in IRs. The pre-print must record acceptance for publication and in which journal it will appear.
Post-Print (post-refereeing) - The author may deposit their post-print manuscript on IRs. The author may post the publisher-generated PDF but only 12 months after publication in the journal. The author must acknowledge publisher copyright and provide a citation to the print article.
